Before becoming a Postpartum Doula, my career began in 2015 in early childhood education. I've worked as a teacher/caregiver at licensed childcare centers (infant through preschool age), provided before and after school care and summer camp enrichment for elementary-aged children, and even gained exciting experience teaching martial arts one on one to children with individual needs. I trained as a Postpartum Doula in 2018 and continue to work and learn under the mentorship of my mother-in-law Jennifer.

With my background in early childhood education, I use my knowledge about development to support parents as they witness each exciting new milestone in their newborns' lives-- and I consider it a privilege to be able to witness the amazing process of growth myself! I also have experience in sleep training older infants and helping parents through the difficult time of sleep regression. I'm passionate about keeping an open dialogue about mental health and making those discussions stigma- and judgment-free; I aim to be an advocate for my clients so they can feel like they are being heard.

My goal as your doula is to provide you and your family with practical, physical and emotional support during the arrival and postpartum period with your baby or babies. When the needs of the parents are tended to, the new family can bond, relax and enjoy their new life together.

Every family has different needs and circumstances. I tailor my services to the specific needs of each I serve and provide non-judgmental support during this time of profound change. My goal as your birth/labor doula is that you will end up with a birth experience you feel positive about. I work with new parents to find their own parenting style, one that works for them as parents and that meets the needs of their individual baby. I do this by helping parents recognize their baby’s cues and by encouraging them to listen to and trust, their own inner wisdom.
